This pálinka aged in new oak barrel impresses us with its spicy nose with cinammon and flowers. It is made of ’Penyegei’ or the so called „I don’t know”’ plum, from orchards where plum trees are surrounded by flowery breeze scented with cinnamon indeed. The golden colour comes from the barrel ageing. ’Penyegei’ or „I don’t know” plum has grown for centuries in the flood basin of the river Tisza and Szamos, and even when cultivated it does not need special care. Its smaller fruits have pale blue colour and yellow, thick, dense flesh. It gives high yield but in a hectic way, usually towards the end of August. Agárdi produces an elegant, layered, complex spirit of this variety. Recommended with an outstanding cigar or to accompany a delicious coffee.
